Tim Price showing his form on "Wesko".Australian Olympic rider Chris Burton won the CIC*** on Tempranillo this weekend at Hartbury  but the Kiwi riders were hot on his tail .

Great to see Tim Price rise to the fore on Wesko to take 2nd and his wife Jonelle Richards 3rd  on The Deputy . 4th and 8th was Andrew Nicholson and the up and coming young kiwi  talent Jesse Campbell was 14th on Kaapachino .

On another note...... Mrs Catherine Witt's stunning NZ  TB Parklane Hawk and William Fox-Pitt  won the dressage 0n flash score 34.8 in this class  however  they withdrew from the  competition after the SJ  phase. Another Happy Client !!!

Tuesday, August 06, 2013 - Joanne Bridgman

Most pleasing to receive a  lovely email from yet another very happy client today offering me her Testimonial.

Click here to see our Testimonial page to read  what some of our clients have to say .

They range   from World Class Olympians to Young Riders/Juniors and Amateur riders but at the end of the day you are all equally important to us !!!

“I chose Joanne to find me my next eventer because of her fantastic reputation for suiting horses to riders.   She ensured that she knew exactly what I was after and even though I’m an ‘amateur’, I was given as much priority as everybody else.

Eventually my perfect horse turned up and she contacted me without delay to ensure I was able to act quickly.  I appreciate her opinion and would definitely ask for her assistance again in the future.”

Mid Winter Update !!!

Monday, July 15, 2013 - Joanne Bridgman

Sspring and little lambs around us !!!Well, summer is  not too far away  as we   have  passed the shortest day of the year  and spring is around the corner , thank goodness  .

We are surrounded by  little lambs and  daffidols , and  have been treated to  some  lovely blue skies and sunny days lately .

However the temperature is slightly brisk at times  .!!!!

Never mind, I am loving  riding at this time of year and training our  smart  young homebred  horses,  using the small training shows we have running

most of the winter in the Waikato area.

We are very spoilt to have these little shows and also the great equestrian  training  facility at St Peters School in Schooling "Bunny Hop" at St Peters.Cambridge , with massive arenas and always a course of Show Jumps set  up  to train over.

QNZH's has had  some pleasing  sales lately ,    locally within  NZ and "over the ditch " to Australia.

These sales have been  both to professional riders and Juniors and Amateurs.

You can follow info on  the horses sold by  clicking  on the SOLD  link.

All these lovely  horses have arrived safe  and well with proud new owners and we are looking forward to seeing them out and about in the upcoming season.

NZ High Performance squad for eventing has been announced,,, check out the list of riders here on this link .  Andrew Nicholson has 6 horses on the Squad,   no shortage of horse power for Andrew at the moment !!!

We have some very talented riders and horses up in UK and Europe at the moment so exciting times ahead for Eventing NZ.

Good Results Melbourne 3DE for QNZH's !!! .

Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - Joanne Bridgman

WINNERS Charlie King and Charlton Veeza.Very pleasing  results at Melbourne 3DE last weekend for  the super  talented Junior rider  Charlie King riding Grant Crother's  impressive big grey "Charlton Javelin ".  They   won the CCIJ*    with ease on the  winning dressage  score of 47.82.  We are proud to have  sourced this  fine horse for Charlie and Grant .  He  was  bred and produced here in NZ by well known horsewoman/FEI judge ,  Nicoli Fife.  What a perfect partnership this has turned out to be.

AND  there were other horses that performed well at Melbourne that were sourced through us at  QNZH's .

Martin Clark's "Black Crest " finished 7th in the CCI** class ridden by Andrew Cooper.

"Gosh" was  originally purchased via us by Stuart Tinney , is now with new owner/rider Damien Thornton and did well in the CCIJ* class as well.

Kirby Delamont and her very talented "Topper " II did their first CCI* together and are very happy .   Already comments have filtered back to me about what a fantastic jumper Topper is and Kirby is really thrilled with him.

Topper  was bred and   produced by me  to Pre Novice level before he was spotted by Kirby and Alice Montgomery on a shopping trip here in NZ !!!

Jess Woods on her cute  TB "Defie's Logic " won the CCI**  with ease.  There were alot of XC problems in this class. Francesca Silver riding her great jumper "Case in Point" moved up  from 20th to finish 2nd because she was one of the few double clear rounds.

Megan Finlayson on her  striking  "Greensleeves" cleaned up the CCI* Championship class .  Andy Daines and  his super talented  "Spring Panorama" took 2nd place. Andy has just flown this stunning horse back from the UK.

NZ National Young Event Horse "HERE TO STAY" The National Young Event Horse Championship class was won by Anne Marie Styles and her beautiful 5 yo TB " Here to Stay ".  It was interesting to see 4 of the 5 finalists were TB's this year.  The  NZ TB's are shining right now after the wonderful Badminton results and our TB's stood  out in final placings winning  and 5th .

Autumn Season 2013

Saturday, April 27, 2013 - Joanne Bridgman

How time flys when you are having fun !!!!

"Biggles" shows his usual good form XC !!!The Autumn show  season  here in NZ is sadly  drawing to an end with  the Taupo 3DE 17th to 19th May , which we are all looking forward to as always !!!

It has been a long hot summer and a lot of NZ has been in drought . However pastures have greened up since beginning of April , rain has come and the grass is shooting away again .

This autumn I have been campaigning a small team of horses I have bred  which is  very rewarding and much fun !!!

"Biggles" did some   SJing shows   to consolidate ,   then did a couple of one* level HT's.  I believe he is very talented for upper levels  eventing and  is now super  confident and  ready to move on to a serious rider to take him the next levels.     click here to see  video of "Biggles"  SJing at HOY .

"Inca's Lass " and "Bunny Hop" are both SJing well and eventing at Pre novice with ease and "Princess" is looking very smart at Training level so  far .

QNZH's has had some very successful sales in last few months mainly to Australia and within NZ .  Getting great feedback from the new owners already  which is always thrilling.

Our most recent 'BIG'  sale was eleven  horses to our great clients up in Tahiti.  The horses were all different types including 4   racehorses, 3 very fancy ponies  and 4   well schooled good looking dressage and jumping horses. All the horses are currently in quarantine and about to get clipped all over in readiness for climate  in  Tahiti,  an average of 28 degrees all year round..... lucky for some !!!

Trans Tasman Trophy held Sydney , Australia.

A NZ team comprising of the following riders ,

- Simon Gordon/

- Bryce Newman/Bates Trademark

- Joe Waldron/ Springvale All Black

- Donna Smith / Double Chocolate

- Danni Lodder / Moochi ( RESERVE

flew across the ditch 23rd  April  to contest the Trans Tasman Trophy at the Sydney 3DE.

The NZ riders  went well over the big demanding XC track ,  but the Aussies took a commanding lead  in the dressage phase  and held onto it .

Stuart Tinney, previous Gold Medalist for Australia,  won with the striking grey  Pluto Mia
