World Class USA Eventer SOLD to UK !!!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014 - Joanne Bridgman
Crown Talsiman .QNZH's  is very proud to have sourced the world class 3* eventer "Crown Talisman " for our great  client Nick Gauntlett (UK),  with Rio firmly in mind !!!
Nick contacted me asking what I could find for him , having already searched  in UK and Europe.
With help from my American based friend  Liz Millikin ( she has a great  eye  !!!! )  we found  this seriously  talented horse that has been  produced superbly by Doug Payne ( NC , USA) .
It was a massive decision for Doug and Jess to part with this exciting 3* horse , but timing was a major influencing factor in their decision  as they had just found the  ideal farm and this would set them up for the future.
Tali  has campaigned with Doug successfully at 3* level in USA and was 6th at CCI*** Samur, France 2013 .
I am very  much looking forward to watching Nick and Tali begin their career together next year in UK .

WEG Cross Country Tough !!!

Sunday, August 31, 2014 - Joanne Bridgman
Very determined Jonelle Price !!!Sat up all last night nere in NZ  with my friends and watched  the day unfold in Normandy , the cross country phase of Alltech WEG Eventing .
It did not pan out as NZ planned , out amazing team  did not finish as a team sadly .
However Jonelle Price  showed her class and sheer determintion  and was fastest xc round of the day on "Classic Moet" to pull up to 4th.  Andrew Nicholson on "Nereo" is now  5th , and 2nd fastest round of the day .

Totally gutted for Lucy , Mark and Jock . Lucy looked like she was riding  the round of the day until "Willy Do" tripped up the bank and fell over .

Thrilled and excited  for our great client and friend William Fox-Pitt to be holding the winning position on " Chilli Morning".  After his super round yesterday " Chilli"  would have to be considered THE BEST EVENTING STALLION in the world right now !!!

On a very sad note... the Meade family and Harry lost their world class eventer " Wild  Lone" " shortly after going through the finish flags after a superb XC round. I cannot begin to think how dreadful  this must be .
Condolences to all connections on this tragic loss.

There is less than a rail between the top 5 placings for the SJing phase.... exciting stuff ahead of us all tonight.
Another all nighter for the enthusiasts left  here in NZ ,  on the comfort of our  sofa's  in front of the fire .
Thinking of you all and BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL from QUALITY NZ HORSES !!!!

NZ Eventing Team 2nd Dressage WEG !!!!

Saturday, August 30, 2014 - Joanne Bridgman
Jock Paget showing his class !!!So exciting for NZ Eventing ... our amazing Team is currently 2nd after the 2 days of dressage .
The German Team is winning on 116.9 penalties and NZ hot on their heels with 125.5 penalties.
Jock Paget on "Clifton Promise" are  best of the NZers  lying 3rd , but all the NZ riders were outstanding  and all under the 50 penalty  mark .
A lot going to happen tomorrow in the XC phase..... it is big and tough and deep ground conditions although the ground is rapidly drying out now .
Live results can be seen on this link .
I shall be glued to the FEI TV channel here in NZ tonight with friends.... ...... BRING IT ON !!!!!!!!!!

Jock Paget Finally Gets FEI Clearance !!!!

Friday, August 08, 2014 - Joanne Bridgman
Jock and 'Clifton Promise'.Great news , finally NZer  Jock Paget and Australian Kevin McNab have been officially cleared of all charges related to " doping " of their horses. This allows both riders to represent their countries at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy France in  few weeks time .
Relief ...... and now the very talented  NZ rider can get on  with what he does so well..........WINNING for our NZ Eventing Team.
WEG just around the corner so very exciting .
This is a very interesting article stating the facts , read on this link   which clearly explains what happened and why it took so  long to get clarified and sorted out .
Gosh, it  is a bit scarey really when things like this can happen at the highest levels in equestrian sports !!!

Mid Winter Update !!!

Sunday, July 13, 2014 - Joanne Bridgman
"Junior" admiring his new lake !!!We are  now in the middle of winter in NZ  and have  passed the shortest day of the year  23rd June.  The  days are getting longer already ... bring on summer please !!!
Had a proper dousing of rain in last few days and serious flooding in northern parts of NZ . Even had some flooding  at my farm when I arrived out there this morning.   One  of my lovely youngsters "Junior"   was standing in water but seemed very happy and appears  to love it .... he did have a large  dry area  to stand in but chose his new lake to play in .

"The Felon" 3* Eventer SOLD !!!QNZH's has had some great  horse sales lately.... historically it seems to get busy from June onwards here in NZ .
"The Felon " ( Ruffy ) a much admired 3* Eventer  has flown off to Australia to a lucky new rider.
"Lenny " a  super little schoolmaster Eventer/Jumper  has also flown across the ditch to a very excited young Junior rider to enjoy..
"Bohdan", a super talented young TB Eventer at 1* level has also been sold to be produced to the higher levels.
Once again my great clients from Tahiti have been down in NZ  " shopping"  and 2 sport  horses ( Chanel and Amigo )  and 2 donkeys ( Charm and Penny ) have just left NZ shores for Tahiti. It was an interesting experience for me to find donkeys for my clients , never done that before  !!!  They are very cute I must say.

I have recently  been asked to rehome/ sell some racehorses out of a big racing stable . All of which are nice decent sized, sound  geldings. Some had  been retired or were  not fast enough to even get to a race.
"Wilbur"  5y o by Snippetson , moves  super well,   awesome jumper , has gone to a well known eventing yard to be produced as an Eventer.
"Toby"  , an elegant 4 yo  who ticked all the boxes as well.. has also gone to be produced as an eventer of high levels.
"Steel" has gone to a great home here in Cambridge as a pleasure horse and has been re named "Daniel Le Brun" after his new owners favourite wine .

Just picked up the next TB 2 guys  and they are currently work in progress...................watch this space!!!
